"White paper hats at Dick's Last Resort are getting a rise out of some Faneuil Hall visitors and merchants.
Mayor Thomas M. Menino's 24-hour constituent hotline has fielded complaints about the hats - allegedly resembling condoms and penises - made by the restaurant's employees.
The Faneuil Hall Merchants Association registered the same complaints in a meeting yesterday with the tourist mecca's management.
"The licensing division has had several complaints brought to their attention relative to the format of Dick's Last Resort," said Patricia Malone, director of the Mayor's Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing... "
